Who we are
Nordica Specs is a Shopify app made by Variegata Nordica (Mallory Berthomé). Questions about this policy or your data: mallory.berthome@gmail.com.
What the app stores
- Your store’s address and Shopify access, so the app can open in your Shopify admin and read your products.
- Product details the rules use: each product’s title, handle, vendor, product type, tags and collections.
- The specs and documents you enter: templates and their fields, each product’s spec values, document titles and links, rules, and a log of changes kept for 13 months.
- Your display settings, plan (Free or Pro), time zone and currency.
- Messages you send with “Contact support” or “Suggest an improvement”, and the email address if you add one.
- Technical error reports: your store’s address, the page and the error, so problems can be fixed.
What the app changes in your store
Only values of its own: one app metafield on each product (its template, spec values and documents) and one on your store (the templates and documents themselves), which your theme reads to show them. Files you upload in the app are added to your store’s Files (Content › Files), where they stay if you uninstall. It never changes prices, products, collections or theme files.
Your documents’ links
Once a day the app opens each document’s link to check it still works. It requests only the first byte of the file and sends no information about your store or your customers.
Your customers
The app doesn’t read orders or any information about your customers. It uses no cookies, tracking or analytics on your storefront.
Who processes the data
Cloudflare hosts the app and its database. Shopify provides the store data, stores uploaded files and handles billing. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
How long it is kept
When you uninstall the app, your sign-in data is deleted at once. Everything else linked to your store (templates, values, documents, rules, settings, messages) is deleted when Shopify asks for it to be erased, 48 hours after uninstalling. You can ask for your support messages to be deleted at any time.
